Talk to Taylor

My mission is to witness your story and to serve as a collaborator in helping you explore who you are and what you want. I believe that you are the expert of your own journey, and it is my responsibility to hold space for your pain and to elevate the parts of you that best serve your hopes and goals. I know that struggling with relationship or sexual issues can feel isolating and vulnerable. I am confident that, through our work together, you can feel more connected to your most authentic self and have more fulfilling relationships with others.

I hope to elevate the voices of those whose stories have been silenced. It is my hope that you will feel welcome and included in my practice, and that you will know your identities are celebrated. I am LGBTQ, poly, and kink/BDSM affirming.

My Journey

My drive for being a therapist has been fueled by my own experiences. I felt the impact of divorce when my parents separated, and I wondered if there was a way to help families like mine heal and find unity. Growing up as a queer person in a conservative Southern community, I often felt the isolation of being different and wondered if other folks felt silenced or rejected because of their identity or experience. My passion for social justice and my desire to help people work through challenging moments in life led me to attend Lewis and Clark College, where I earned my Master’s in Marriage, Couple, & Family Therapy with a specialization in Sex Therapy.

My therapeutic approach is informed by Narrative Therapy, Existential Family Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, and LGBTQ Affirmative Therapy frameworks.

When I am not doing the work I love, you can find me spending quality time with my loved ones, tasting all the delicious vegan food in Portland, and playing video games.

If you would like to pursue working with me, please reach out to schedule a free 30-minute phone consultation. I’ve added links to my blog posts below.
